I was at a loss for a subject on this topic until, while googling, I stumbled across a photo of a city skyline made of screws! Being  that I’m a nurse with medical supplies out the wazoo and not a handyman, I immediately ran to Lowe’s.

This shot turned into a lesson in lighting more than anything else (and a steady hand!) I experimented with different camera settings, off camera flash, soft box lighting and reflectors. I’m posting all of my results to illustrate how dramatic the differences are between the different settings and light.

The last two photos are recreations of abstracts I found whole googling. The first one is a bead balanced inside of a ring that is balanced between two forks. The last one I just thought was cool:)
